Can you tell me if I am eligible for a program?

No. We do not determine eligibility for any program, product, or service. Eligibility and availability are set by the organizations that run each program, so the best next step is to contact that program directly.

Do you charge for anything?

No. Every guide and tool on the site is free to use, and no sign-up is required.

Do you sell insurance or financial products?

No. We do not sell insurance or financial products, and we do not refer or match visitors with providers. Our insurance and money guides are educational only.

Updates and text messages

How do I sign up for updates?

Visit the Get Updates page and enter your name and email. If you also want text messages, enter your mobile number and check one or both text-message boxes.

What kinds of text messages can I receive?

There are two separate options. Informational texts include sign-up confirmations, preference updates, and alerts about new guides and tools. Marketing texts include seasonal resource reminders, new free tools and guides, and featured savings guides. You can choose either, both, or neither.

Do I have to sign up for texts to use the site?

No. Text messages are optional, both boxes are unchecked by default, and neither is required to use any guide, tool, or resource.

How often will I get texts, and what do they cost?

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile plan.
